Meet the Team

The staff comprises of the Playgroup and Nursery Proprietors/Managers – Diane McIntyre and Lauren Irvine, five full-time assistants and two part-time assistants.  All staff  are vetted by AccessNI and Social Services before commencing employment at Movilla Playgroup and Nursery.

Diane McIntyre – Playgroup Manager

Diane has 24 years’ experience and qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Child Care and Development.

Lauren Irvine – Nursery Manager

Lauren has 16 years’ experience and has a BA (Hons) in Early Years Education.

Gillian Bennett – Pre-School Assistant

Gillian has 2 years experience. She has completed her Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning. Gillian is currently waiting to start her Level 5 in Leadership and Management.

Rachel Fisher – Pre-School Assistant

Rachel is new to our team and is currently studying towards her Level 3 in Child Care and Development.

 Zandra Perry – Playgroup Assistant

Zandra has 17  years’ experience and qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Child Care and Development.

Karen McAlinney  – Playgroup Assistant

Karen has 28  years’ experience and qualified to NVQ Level 2 in Child Care and Development and also has Makaton level 1, foundation Solihull approach and autism awareness.

Staff regularly participate in training courses through the Education Authority, Early Years, Stranmillis College, and Health Service to update their skills and knowledge.  Staff hold current First Aid and Child Protection Certificates.
