Our Aims and Objectives

We aim to welcome and value every child in our care, and their family, so that each child can learn, develop and achieve to their full potential.  We aim to promote equality and we value diversity.

We believe children learn best through play and playful experiences which are self-chosen.  We provide a safe, secure, stimulating and caring environment for children to develop and prepare for their transition from playgroup to primary school.

We are committed to providing a skilled, competent and efficient service which is responsive to the individual needs of the families for whom we cater.

We recognise parents as the first and most important carers and educators of their children and by working together we aim to provide the best possible early years’ experiences.  We welcome and encourage parents to take an active interest in their child’s activities and learning development during their time at our Playgroup and Nursery.  If any parents have special talents we are sure we could make good use of them!

We are committed to:

Our aim        –     high quality care and development in a safe and happy environment.

Fairness        –     regardless of income, age, ethnic origin, religion or gender.

Excellence     –     to provide each child and their family with the best service available.

Partnership  –     between parents, specialists and staff.

Respect        –     each child will be treated with dignity, respect and courtesy.

Children and parents can expect to –

  • Be treated politely by all staff in a professional, caring way.
  • Have privacy respected and information kept confidential.
  • Be given clear understandable information.

We aim to ensure standards and care are monitored and developed regularly, parents’ and children’s views are sought, monitored and acted upon whenever possible, and innovations and improvements are made to enhance service delivery.
